power outputs only for the 3.2 powerstroke.

Man I want 185 hp and 350 ft-lbs in a light duty truck. the 3.2 in the new lighter f150 would be amazing.

I still think it's dumb that they aren't offering the 5.0 as an option. That being said - this baby power stroke looks like a sweet engine.

300 hp and 400 ft-lbs from the EB3.5 is why. I would take 185/350 from a small light diesel anyday. the 6BT is fun and all, but I just want a little more torque, less power loss at altitude and better mileage.

Hopefully once the new engines start getting put into the new F-150, which Ford tends to do a year after release of a new body style, I hope they will justify this diesel in the line-up.

Ford has had a history of putting off announcements until they really have a chance to shove it down their competitors throat, when nobody expects it.

Yeah all the fleets I talk to have shied away from the ecoboost in their F-150s. They don't think its as reliable and don't like the added overhaul costs. I'm sure Ford would have optioned out the 5.0 absent CAFE concerns.

Hmm interesting. Depending on how those do in the long run in law enforcement applications, maybe fleets won't shy away from them, or maybe they'll shy away even more if it's bad news.

Personally with my SHO at 60k miles, I've been very happy with my EB3.5.

They will have to jump on board if Chevy dusts off that 4.5 Duramax.

It's taken quite a while for the latest Transit to cross the pond hasn't it? I've been seeing them for ages.

I think so, if Ford does it, they'll let Chevy market their upcoming diesel for like 6 months and right before they show it off at the auto show, ford will drop da BOMB! and steal all the press from them :P
